The Equator is the line of 0 degrees latitude. Each parallel measures one degree north or south of the Equator, with 90 degrees north of the Equator and 90 degrees south of the Equator. The latitude of the South Pole is 90 degrees South.

90 Degrees South or the South Pole Antarctica can be one of the coldest places on earth but has some of the last treasures to be explored. The Antarctic continent is the highest, windiest, driest and coldest continent in the world.  It Contains 90% of the world’s ice and about 70% of the world’s fresh water. It is the home to giant active volcanoes, enormous sub glacier lakes, and rocks over 4 billion years old.
